I love when you can find larger size postcards on which you can write more of a letter than just a note.  This one even has the little holes you would find on a real license plate.

Oahu Love

Sorry I have been gone.  (Probably nobody noticed.)

This past fall I went through a rigorous hiring & then training process to be an online instructor for one of my alma maters.  (This is in addition to my full-time library job.)

AND, just after the holidays my husband and I got to go on our first "real" vacation.

Some friends invited us to join them on their trip to Oahu.  

Thanks to a free place to stay & a direct, mega cheap flight our trip was a go.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

This is our first "bad" winter here in Idaho.

Arizona

Here are four postcards that my mom actually purchased.

 Arizona is the 48th state and the last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, and it achieved statehood on February 14, 1912.  Arizona is noted for its desert climate in its southern half, where there are very hot summers and quite mild winters.

Native American people of Arizona give a glimpse into their unique cultures and traditions through crafts, rugs, pottery, jewelry, dances and clothing.

Alanreed, TX

One of the stops on my family's summer tour was Alanreed, TX.  Not really sure why, except that Reed is our last name.  And my mother grabbed a handful of freebie postcards while there:
