Idaho-Salmon River
The Salmon River is the largest river completely located within the state. It drains over 14,000 square miles and flows undammed its entire 425 miles. Both the fishing and whitewater excitement are unparalleled throughout the west.

Hells Canyon
Seven Devils Mountains, Idaho
The Seven Devils, part of the Hells Canyon National Recreation area. The snowcapped peaks climb from the Snake River to 9, 293 ft. skyward and stretch across the horizon 40 miles accross. Around the peaks hide 30 alpine lakes and miles of hiking trails. From the top of this world at Heavens Gate Lookout, a spectacular view of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana can be enjoyed.

Hell's Canyon, Hells Gate
Well, my little family went on their 2nd annual Idaho Family Campout. Finances are are always tight, so it is just a weekend thing we do & we try to have as much fun as possible spending as little money as possible.
This year our destination was Hell's Canyon. Just before you arrive in Riggins, there is a turnoff that will take you up into the mountains. My husband found the perfect spot about 10 1/2 miles up. We passed some breathtaking sights on the way up. (Looking down the side of the mountain while someone else is driving is not for the faint of heart!)
This was a stop off on the way up.
The half way mark.
The evening there afforded us a view of the meteorior shower, strange sounds from the forest, and a lovely & quiet evening.
The next day, we headed up towards Lewiston & Hell's Gate.
I highly recommend bringing a boat or jet skis if you come up this way. The river was just full of fun water sports & tour boats.
On the way home, we learned about the Nez Perce.
There was a lovely spot along the Salmon River we had to stop at on the way home!
Obviously, I was able to add some new postcards to my collections. Look for those photos in the coming days!

When Life Gives You Lemons Remake
This is a postcard I made by using a notecard I had received from a swap on Swap-bot. It was cut down then glued to a blank that came from VistaPrint. Added some blue ink & a couple of post-it notes and one of my favorite stamps from Vintage Office Rummber Stamps.

Yellowstone National Park & Tower Falls
My cute little friends, Ryan & Christian, went on a trip with their parents and two other siblings to Yellowstone. They brought me these postcards.
Their little sister (who is adorable) also does the best "Yellowstone" dance.
